Day9-Return of Mary Kom in Woman Boxing

                             

It was day 9 and a lifetime opportunity for Indian Boxer Mary Kom which she grabbed with much ease. The five time world champion from India beat Pole Karolina of Poland by 19-14. Mary Kom, who took retirement earlier waited for 12 years for woman boxing to be included in Olympics.

After having won her qualifying match, she will compete  against Tunisia's Maroua Rahali in quarter final match on monday.

Devendro Singh entered quarter-finals of the men's Light Fly Weight category at ExCeL

                                       


Devendro Singh Laishram of India beat Purevdroj Serdamaba, who was former Olympic gold medallist from Mongolia to enter into quarterfinals. In quarterfinals he will compete against Barnes Paddy of Ireland.

Devendro Singh, who hails from Imphal, India is currently serving in Indian army and is an active member of Army Sports Institute, Pune.
